
Detectives were notified and have taken over the investigation. The male then left the area without incident. The suspect can be seen holding a firearm as he appeared to be afraid of the dogs. While the male was inside of the truck, the victims’ dogs had walked up to the vehicle at which time the suspect exited the truck. A review of nearby video tape showed a male wearing all black clothing to enter the truck. The victim reported that sometime during the night an unknown subject had entered their unlocked truck and rummaged through the interior. Detectives were notified and are further investigating. The person possessing the trailer had been the victim of a scam and had bought the stolen trailer (confirmed via paperwork and the app transaction) The trailer was recovered and towed. Through investigation, officers learned that the trailer had been purchased via an on-line app. Officers then flooded the area and located the trailer at an area construction site.

The trailer then tripped a second ALPR inside of the villages alerting officers that the vehicle was in an area with limited egress. Officers were alerted to a stolen trailer entering the Villages. The 30-year-old male was booked into the Harris County Jail and the vehicle was recovered. The vehicle in question had also been bought on-line using some else’s stolen ID. Officers located a laptop and information about fraudulent vehicle purchases being made online by the suspect. Inside of the vehicle officers located a loaded firearm and methamphetamine. The subject was fingerprinted and found to be concealing his identity and that he was a wanted fugitive for felony theft.
#BOOKED ON DA BAYOU DRIVER#
The driver provided fraudulent identification to officers and was placed under arrest. Officers began checking the area where they located and stopped the vehicle. Officers were alerted to a stolen vehicle entering the area by the ALPR system. Information was collected and provided to detectives for their follow up investigation. A subsequent check of the ALPR system located possible suspect vehicles in the area at the same time. The suspect rummaged through the vehicle but did not find anything of valve before he left. The male was wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and dark gloves. A review of area video surveillance found that at 0515 hours a white male in his 20’s with a goatee approached the house and vehicle. The victim reported that during the night an unknown person had entered an unlocked vehicle at their home and rummaged through the car.
